Sneaker Tribe Trae Young 1 Review
For this week, we have Trae Young’s first signature sneaker the Trae Young 1. Rayford Trae Young is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association for the Atlanta Hawks (NBA). Young became the first and only player in NCCA history to lead the league in both points and assists in a single season. He was then named to the 2019 NBA All-Rookie First Team, alongside Luca Dončić, by a unanimous vote.
Design
This shoe is designed to capture Young's unique style and personality while also providing the latest Adidas basketball technology. As part of adidas’ goal to eliminate plastic waste, the product is created of recycled materials. The upper is made up of 20% recycled content while the lower is made up of 50% recycled content.
Usage
The shoe itself is very light weight and the shoe features a lace less design with tongue and heel pull tabs, as well as a lockdown feel. For maximum comfort, the shoe includes light strike cushioning. A boost midsole with an S-shaped moulded heel counter is also included. The shoe's traction features a robust rubber outsole that provides on-court traction while allowing customers to play in any style they like.
Is It worth the money?
The selling price of this shoe is presently $200. We receive boost cushioning and a light weighted shoe at this price. This shoe is best used indoors because the traction would quickly wear off outside.
Summary
Overall, this shoe has boost cushioning and great traction for indoor usage. Additionally, the shoe is very lightweight despite the fact that it is a little stiff so it might take a longer time to season the shoe.
